Infant Massage is an ancient tradition in many cultures that has recently been recognized for its physical, emotional and intellectual benefits to babies and their families. It is quality, focused time for a caregiver and a child to interact and learn to communicate with one another using verbal and non-verbal cues. Additionally, massage improves both the infant and parents' overall health and well-being. By learning infant massage, parents become more confident in their parental skills while infants become more secure with themselves.

how do i learn?
Baby Guru offers in-home private instruction and group workshops to learn the techniques as taught by the International Association of Infant Massage. Parents will learn skills of interactive communication and nurturing massage with their infants in a comforting, supportive environment.

After learning about the history and benefits of Infant Massage, parents will observe a certified educator perform the massage techniques on a doll and then parents will perform the strokes on their own child (or a doll for expecting parents). Through repetition, parents will become confident with the strokes. Parents will receive massage oil, instruction materials and infant massage games to take home with them.

Private instruction is three (3) 1-hour sessions. Group workshops are typically four (4) 1-hour sessions.

This class is best for expectant parents and parents of pre-crawling babies, but any age is welcome.
